Teachers Don’t Make Enough Money!

I know.

I’m a teacher.

Don’t get me wrong. I love my job, along with the rewards that come with being a teacher.

I was just tired of living paycheck to paycheck, hoping that I would have a little money left over at the end of the month to take my wife out to for a nice dinner or my kid to an amusement park.

What I began seeing was that many of my colleagues were in the same situation – having to sign up for an after school duty just to earn some extra income.

I even knew of a couple of teachers who actually would go  through the lunch area trash cans, collecting plastic water bottles to recycle.

It made me a little mad.

There is something wrong with college educated individuals who choose to dedicate their lives in such a noble profession having to struggle to pay their bills.

I had to do something.

I have always been a  “techy.”

I’ve always enjoyed anything having to do with computers, and as I learned more about the Internet, I began thinking about the possibility of using it to earn extra income.

There were many businesses online, selling their products, and they were making money.

Here was the problem: I didn’t have a business, nor did I have a product.

“Why don’t you sell stuff on Ebay?”

This is what a friend asked.

Ebay? I didn’t want to deal with shipping and returns or any of that.

That is when I started doing some research about the different ways to earn extra income online.

What I found was life-changing!

Not only could I make money online, but because I was a teacher, I had a distinct advantage over everybody else trying to make money online.

If you’re a teacher, I know you’re beginning to get interested in what I just wrote.

Teachers, because of their particular skill set are in a unique position to make more money online than the average person.

What is that awesome teacher advantage?

I’m glad you asked.

It all has to do with communication. The Internet is all about communication of information.

What I’ve learned is that people will pay for information. They’ll enter their credit card number into a form and pay big bucks for information that they need.

This is where we come in.

As teachers, we have been trained to take complex concepts and communicate them in a way that is easy to understand by our students.

Teachers are experts in communication of information.

Some of us have spent years delivering easy-to-understand information to students.

What I learned is that even though a person can find the same information on several websites, he/she will choose to learn from me, because I  make it clearer and easier to understand. Why is that?

Because it comes naturally to me – I’m a teacher!

So, you mean I can make money online without having a physical product? No stamps? No running to the post office to drop off packages?

Yes!

Is this a get-rich-quick scheme?

No, it’s not. In fact, it’s going to take some work, but if you are consistent, you will earn some extra income.

The best part of this, however, is that you will enjoy what you are doing the entire time.
